HAWKINS, Margaret June

Margaret June Hawkins, 99, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2021, at Ohio Hospice in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by her family. A long-time Middletown resident, Mrs. Hawkins was born in Greensburg, IN, on April 11, 1921, to parents James Thomas and Nola Mae Jenkins Gill. Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her sons, Jack (Carol) and Kevin (Sherry); 5 precious grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vergil; her sisters, Evalena Aldridge, Stella Rutherford, Katherine Gill, Virgie Gill, Ruth Zonars, Marilyn McKinney and her brother, Robert Gill. In 1941, she married Vergil and went to work in the Print Shop at Armco before taking on her full-time job of wife and mother. She will always be remembered as a very kind, caring and gracious lady. Margaret was a member of the Trenton Mennonite Church. Private graveside services and interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton with Reverend Timothy Draxler officiating.
