Mehall Jr., Bernard S. "Bernie"

Bernard "Bernie" S. Mehall Jr., age 88 of Bonita Springs, FL, formerly of Vandalia, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024. He retired from General Motors-Inland with 37 years of service. Bernie was a former member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and St. Christopher Catholic Church where he was active with the church festival. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, watching sports, and collecting music and movies. Bernie was also a huge Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Ohio State fan. He is survived by his wife: Susanne T. Mehall, daughter: Michelle (Scott) Koker, son: John (Lynn) Mehall, grandchildren: Nicholas, Alexander, Jessica (Michael), Mark (Lauren), Madison (Brett), Kyle (Samantha), Austin (Kirstin), great grandchildren: Jackson, Miles, Tennin, Emma, Cecilia, Rocco, brother: Dave (Karen) Mehall, sister: Maribeth (George) Freiberger, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bernard and Mary (Pless) Mehall Sr., first wife: Georgia Mehall, son: Steven Mehall and brother: John Mehall. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). The family will receive friends on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.
