Dianne van Ruiten-Schober, 75, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2021. Dianne was born on October 7, 1945, in Kettering, OH, to Richard and Helen

To know Dianne was to love her. Her vivacious and caring personality blessed her with many wonderful friends whom she cherished beyond measure. While raising her two sons, "Miss Dianne" enjoyed teaching ballet over 20 years through

Kettering YMCA and Oakwood Community Center. She was also a beloved and energetic volunteer supporting Dayton Children's through the Terrific Women in Giving (TWIGs), and the Sugarplum Festival of Trees. After many years as a devoted volunteer she was hired by the Development department and was an extraordinary fundraiser for Dayton Children's

notably coordinating the annual Children's Miracle Network Telethon and affiliated events.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Ted van Ruiten (1990) and Edward Schober (2013); her brother, Dickson

(Holly) Matthews; brother-in-law, Leo (Mary) van Ruiten; as well as her dear friend from senior living, Nat Sibbold. She leaves behind her two sons, Matt (Kathleen) van Ruiten and Mark van Ruiten. She was a proud and loving grandmother to her two granddaughters, Amanda and Rachel van Ruiten.

She made many trips over the years to visit her extended family in The Netherlands and leaves behind Ted's siblings Wil,

Anneke, Dick, Marian, Trudy (Jan), Helen plus over 20

nephews, nieces and their children.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Dayton Children's Hospital. A private family burial will be held, and a summer/fall celebration of life will take place in Centerville area TBD.
