Since the coronavirus shutdown, owners of both locations Daniel Huiet and Michael Keggan have made changes to ensure greater social distancing and extra cleaning.
Scheduling has been one of the biggest changes for the Great Escape Game and Wild Axe Throwing. It’s now been set up so groups don't arrive at the same time and congregate. Additionally, each escape room and axe throwing lane is disinfected after every group leaves a session. Staff members wash their hands frequently and wear masks.
Another change has been the shift to private bookings.
“In the past, customers could be paired with strangers. That is not the case anymore,” Huiet explained.
“When you book a game or lane, it will be a private experience with only your group. We have also reduced our occupancy to allow fewer customers in the building at any given time.”

Huiet and Keegan opened Great Escape in 2016 at 2332 Grange Hall Road in Beavercreek. Wild Axe Throwing opened last summer in 2019 in Beaver Valley Shopping Center at 3251 Seajay Drive in Beavercreek.
“My main goal is to provide entertainment to the city that I love,” Huiet previously told this news organization.
