The co-owner of The Century Bar, Joseph Head, will anchor a pop-up bourbon tasting at El Meson.

Head will lead patrons through a tasting of four different bourbons during a three-course meal at the restaurant Saturday, Jan. 11, at 6:30 p.m.

“We’re very excited to bring Joseph back to El Meson for a night during this brief period when The Century Bar is closed for relocation,” Bill Castro, the owner of El Meson said. “The man knows bourbon.”

Each of the four bourbons will be selected based on criteria to best pair with the guests’ meals. Dinner will feature the restaurant’s signature rotisserie smoked chicken.

“This event has been very popular in years past, so we’re all looking forward to seeing what The Century Bar brings us in 2020,” Castro said. “Bringing together great food and great drinks just makes life taste so much better.”
