One of the Dayton area’s most exotic eateries is jumping into the brunch game like a rampaging boar.

“I’m truly excited to finally offer brunch at Preble County’s steakhouse,” Don Warfe, the restaurant’s executive chef, said as part of the release. “I’ve been granted the freedom to put my culinary skills to the test, and I plan on offering the best brunch options I can imagine.”

The Bison and The Boar unveiled The Crust and The Vine pie and wine shop and added Warfe, a long-time Dayton area chef and a consultant for Fox’s Kitchen Nightmares, over the summer.

The restaurant’s Beastly Brunch menu will include shrimp and grits, omelettes, biscuits and gravy, a farmer’s breakfast, berry custard stuffed French toast, Hill Family Farms free-range fried chicken with waffles as well as poutine and Benedict varieties.

The poutine offerings include bison sausage, seasonal garden vegetables, traditional and boar belly varieties.

Benedict varieties include prime rib and asparagus, grilled bison tenderloin and boar belly, crab cake and smashed avocado and seasonal vegetables.

Many of the meals will feature the restaurant's bison and boar.

“Our offerings featuring bison and boar often take center stage,” Warfe said. “Now they’ll have to share the spotlight with incredible local free-range chicken from Hill Family Farms, seafood, eggs and more on our brunch menu. If you haven’t visited The Bison and The Boar yet, having brunch with us is a great way to start.”
