Hanging out their shingle in 1998, Wings has gradually enhanced their property for what amounts to four full-service bars, 13 screens and two stages for live music.
But this summer you have to do yourself a favor and enjoy a cold one on their massive "Wing Walker Patio". This impressive, aviation-themed getaway comes across like a normal tiki bar, with its thatched roof and sandy surroundings at first. But this patio goes far beyond that.

Wing Walker Patio
This 7,500-square foot shrine to relaxation was clearly designed to make you forget about the outside world. Aside from the inviting bar, the spacious "Stealth Pavilion" features live music every Thursday where musicians of all types perform during the warm months. Guided By Voices main man Robert Pollard has even been seen on stage, albeit in an impromptu manner.

The Wings and Beverages
If you're going to have the words "wings" somewhere in the title of your Dayton-area bar or restaurant, you had better bring your "A" game. Thankfully, Wings does not disappoint. The meaty wings are served naked or traditional, and are hand tossed in a variety of 10 sauces. We tried the hot honey mustard sauce, which has just the right amount of sweetness to it. There's also a decent beer selection and no shortage of mixed drink concoctions offered and the prices are reasonable.
Another reason this patio rocks
It's got a good crowd of regulars. Everyone seems to know everyone else here, but if they don't know you, someone will probably make the effort. The combination of good food and drinks, good music and a great atmosphere makes the Wing Walker Patio at Wings Bar & Grille one of our favorites.
