Facebook post sparks controversy

Stafford Jewelers, located in Dayton, is receiving backlash for a recent Facebook post promoting their store.

The post includes a video and caption that says "Don't let those flirty sales girls at the mall talk him into an overpriced, low quality ring."

"Also, don't let them talk him into filling out the credit app when he's just looking," the caption goes on to say. 

Several women responded, saying that referring to retail workers as "flirty sales girls" is "blatant sexism."

Two women claim to have commented on the original post from Monday, but say their comments were removed.

As of Thursday night, the original post has no visible comments, but many women have commented on a shared post (see below).

These comments also include complaints about Staffords' grammar and marketing techniques.
