All-Ohio forward from Chillicothe to play for Dayton women

The Dayton Flyers women’s basketball team picked up a commitment from a member of the class of 2018 on Monday.

Ella Skeens, a 5-foot-11 wing from Chillicothe Southeastern High School, announced her decision via Twitter.

Skeens is a three-star recruit, according to ESPN’s rankings. She averaged  22.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game as a junior and was named the Southeast District Player of the Year. She was a first-team All-Ohio selection.

Skeens comes from a basketball family. Her parents and aunt all scored 1,000 points at Southeastern.
