Dragons crushed by Hot Rods

The Dragons gave up seven runs in one inning and five runs in two others on their way to a 20-10 loss to the Hot Rods.

Dayton starter Stalin Gerson got off to a rocky start by allowing five runs in the first inning. After Jeff Malm singled to load the bases, Alejandro Segovia hit a grand slam to put Bowling Green up by five.

The Dragons tied the game in the top of the fifth inning after Juan Perez tripled in a run and then scored on an error. Then the Hot Rods answered by scoring 14 runs over the next three innings to put the game out of reach.

Perez went 3-for-5 with a triple, a home run and three RBI for Dayton.
