Reds to open 2015 season against Pirates

The Reds will open the 2015 season on Monday, April 5, against the Pirates at Great American Ball Park and play their first 22 games against National League Central opponents, Major League Baseball announced Monday.

The Reds play the Pirates three times, the Cardinals and Cubs six times and the Brewers seven times in April. Their last game of the month is their first against a non-divisional opponent, the Braves.

The Reds play interleague series at home against the White Sox, Tigers, Twins, Indians and Royals. They also play road series against each of those teams except the Twins.

The Reds play seven road games against the Nationals and Marlins before coming home for the 2015 All-Star Game at Great American Ball Park on July 14.
