“I am truly fortunate and look forward to broadcasting Reds baseball for three more seasons,” said Brennaman in a Reds press release. “I am even more fortunate to work for great people and with great people. Many thanks to the Castellini family, and to all the fans who make our network the best in baseball I say, ‘This One Belongs to the Reds’.”
Brennaman, 71, joined the Reds radio team in 1974. He shared the booth with Joe Nuxhall for 31 years.
Brennaman received the Ford C. Frick Award in 2000 at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
