The move paves the wave for 2016 undrafted free agent running back Tra Carson to make the roster. Carson has rushed for 60 yards on 17 carries during the preseason.

Also, rookie safety Brandon Wilson passed a physical and has been cleared to return to practice. Wilson, a sixth-round pick from Houston, was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list July 26.

The final 53-man roster will be set by 4 p.m. Saturday.
