The Bengals on Tuesday signed free agent linebacker LaRoy Reynolds and waived defensive end Jordan Willis.

Reynolds, 6-foot-1, 228 pounds, is a seventh-year player out of the University of Virginia.

Reynolds has played in 84 career games (seven starts) has 81 tackles. He most recently was with the San Francisco 49ers, but was released on cut-down day Aug. 31.

Willis was one of 11 defensive linemen to make the Bengals’ 53-man roster this season. However, the 6-foot-4, 270-pounder was inactive for the team’s season-opening 21-20 loss vs. the Seattle Seahawks.

A third-round pick out of Kansas State by the Bengals in 2017, Willis played in all 32 games (with two starts) his first seasons and had two sacks.

The Bengals host the 49ers on Sunday in their home opener at Paul Brown Stadium.
