Boys basketball coaching changes

Bethel: Rick Hickman's three-year run ended following his resignation. The Bees were 47-20 under Hickman. His first team was 18-5 and tied with Tri-Village for the Cross County Conference title at 11-1. Bethel fell to Cincinnati Taft in a D-III district final that season. The Bees were 16-6 last season. Eric Glover resigned at Northridge to replace Hickman.

Centerville: Jim Staley retired from teaching and was not renewed as coach after 21 seasons. He had 540 career wins. He was replaced by Brook Cupps, who spent the last 12 mostly successful seasons at Graham.

Covington: Roger Craft stayed as AD, but resigned as coach. He was replaced by former Tippecanoe coach and Covington native Matt Pond.

Dixie: Kregg Creamer resigned from coaching after 15 seasons but remained as AD; replaced by Mike Waggoner, a Greyhounds assistant the last two seasons.

Fairlawn: Derek Alexander resigned after four seasons, compiled a 27-52 record; replaced by Justin Tidwell.

Graham: Cupps resigned to replace Staley at Centerville; Replaced by former Emmanuel Christian coach Dan Moore.

Greenon: Tim Lacy resigned after four seasons; replaced by Todd Shuttleworth, previously the head coach at Cedarville and head girls coach at Fairborn.

Indian Lake: Greg Tuttle was not renewed after going 6-36 in two seasons; replaced by David Starr.

Milton-Union: Andy Grudich resigned to devote more time to coaching M-U girls soccer; replaced by alum Rusty Berner, the school's all-time leading scorer.

Northridge: Eric Glover resigned to replace Hickman at Bethel; replaced by John Tollefson, formerly the JV/varsity assistant at Vandalia Butler.

Springboro: Troy Holtrey was not renewed after 19 seasons in a board decision that dumbfounded community supporters of the veteran coach; replaced by former assistant Jay Byrne.

Tippecanoe: Pond resigned to land at Covington; replaced by Marcus Bixler, who left his alma mater Franklin Monroe after two seasons. Bixler also was Piqua's head coach from 2008-10.
