It’s early, obviously, as the Cleveland Browns are just now working themselves into full pads, but there’s genuine excitement about rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer at the team’s training camp in Berea.

Nobody is more fired up than former Bengals wide receiver Kenny Britt, who spoke with several reporters after practice Sunday.

🐐🐐🐐 potential?

The Browns drafted Kizer out of Notre Dame in the second round, 52nd overall, and the Toledo native may well have a shot at unseating starting quarterback Cody Kessler.

He’s putting in work.

The 6-foot-4 quarterback is drawing praise for his composure and early performance in training camp with the Browns, who will play the Bengals Oct. 1 in Cleveland and Nov. 26 at Paul Brown Stadium.

It will be interesting to see where the young lad stands by then.

He’s apparently already becoming quite the favorite among Browns fans, who of course are starved for good news from the quarterback position (and most positions).

It seems Kizer can sing a little bit, too, which never hurt anybody.
