Bullock wins Bengals kicking job

Randy Bullock has won the Cincinnati Bengals kicking job after the team cut rookie Jake Elliott today, according to multiple reports.

The Bengals drafted Elliott in the fifth-round to challenge Bullock, whom the team signed in December after parting ways with struggling veteran Mike Nugent.

Elliott and Bullock were a combined 10 of 11 on field goals in the preseason before they combined to miss three kicks in the final five minutes Thursday night in a 7-6 loss at Indianapolis .

Elliott missed a 46-yarder with 4:42 to go and a 60-yarder at the gun to finish 4 of 7 after also missing a 45-yarder Sunday in Washington.

Bullock missed a 47-yarder with ? to go and ended the preseason 6 of 7.

The deadline for the Bengals to announce all of their cuts is 4 p.m., although they are expected to do so closer to 3.

If another team doesn’t claim Elliott by noon Sunday, the Bengals could add him to their practice squad.
