Zimmy Nwogbo led the Yellow Jackets with 23 points and 21 rebounds. Austin Foote (15 points) and Wright State transfer Jason Cuffee (12) also scored in double figures for Cedarville.
The Yellow Jackets will play West Liberty today at 4:30 p.m. in the final game of the Don Callan Classic.
Women’s basketball
The Cedarville women’s team knocked off No. 24-ranked Ferris State 59-51 at the Bellarmine Classic in Louisville, Ky., the season opener for the Yellow Jackets.
Kayla Jenerette scored 13 points for the Yellow Jackets, while Deborah Chandler added 11.
They will play again today at 7 p.m. in the tournament championship game.
