About the Eagles: A youthful team eager to work hard and learn how to win. Duff has been coaching girls basketball for 15 years and oversaw a Miami Valley program that became a small-school power. He was twice selected as the Southwest District D-IV coach of the year, nine times a District 15 coach of the year and seven times as the Metro Buckeye Conference coach of the year.
Duff succeeds Mandy Myers. A CJ grad, Myers initially maintained the success that had vaulted the program among the state’s best. Taking over for Duane Williams in the 2011-12 season, that team advanced to the D-II regional semifinals and bettered that with an appearance in the D-II state final four the next season, its seventh and all since 1998. But CJ hasn’t had a winning team since.
