Votto showed his displeasure with a Reds fan after the two made contact while Votto was attempting to catch a foul ball off the bat of Stephen Piscotty in the seventh inning of Cincinnati’s 7-5 win over the visiting St. Louis Cardinals.
Visibly annoyed after he couldn’t come down with the catch, Votto grabbed the Reds logo on the man’s shirt before turning away in disgust.
The story has a happy ending though, Votto wrote a personalized apology on a baseball for the fan shortly after the encounter.
