Suarez suffered an injury recently in a swimming pool. According to the Reds, his “physical activity will be limited at the beginning of spring training,” but “the team anticipates him to be ready to play toward the beginning of the regular season.”
Suarez is coming off a career year in which he hit 49 home runs. The Reds open the season March 26 against the St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park.
