Cincinnati Reds first-round draft pick Hunter Greene finished last season in Billings, Mont.

His next professional baseball stop (after spring training) may be Dayton.

What’s he doing in between?

Well, it looks like he’s spending part of his November with the United States Military Academy at West Point.

The highly touted pitcher/shortstop shared a picture of the hallowed grounds Tuesday.

Jeff Graupe, the director of Cincinnati’s minor leagues, said during an appearance in Dayton last February the club sent 12 of its prospects to West Point for 72 hours of intensive leadership training in an effort to turn around some losing trends for the club’s bush league teams.

“It was a unique approach,” Graupe said. “Leadership is just something that's talked about all the time: How do you grow leaders? How do you develop leaders? I think we have the best minor league staff in baseball in terms of on the field instruction and I think adding a fourth coach will only make that better and I'm hoping that carries over to off field as well.”

"What we wanted to do was identify players we thought had leadership potential from Triple-A to rookie ball and find some way to tie those guys together."

The approach may have paid off, at least in Dayton. The Dragons made the playoffs for the first time since 2011 and won their first-round series against West Michigan
