Browns rookie punter Jamie Gillan, The Scottish Hammer, was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the NFL announced.

Gillan landed five of his six punts inside the 20-yard line in Monday's 23-3 win over the Jets, the most of any punter in Week 2.

An undrafted rookie out of Arkansas Pine-Bluff who originally is from Iverness, Scotland, Gillan leads the NFL with eight punts inside the 20.
