Dayton women ranked 17th in final USA Today Coaches poll

Unranked throughout the regular season, the Dayton Flyers women’s basketball team finally earned the respect of voters in the final USA Today Coaches poll.

The Flyers rank 17th in the poll, which was released Wednesday. They’re one of three teams to be ranked after not being ranked during the regular season. Dayton was 22nd in the preseason poll.

Dayton reached the Elite Eight for the first time and finished the season 28-7.
