Report: Michigan Wolverines expected to hire Billy Donlon

The University of Michigan is expected to hire former Wright State men’s basketball coach Billy Donlon as an assistant coach under John Beilein, according to a report by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman on Wednesday.

Michigan is also expected to hire Oakland assistant Saddi Washington, according to Goodman. A report by MLive.com says Beilein is also considering forrmer Iowa State assistant coach Cornell Mann and current director of player personnel Chris Hunter. Mann is a former assistant at Dayton. There are two spots on Beilein's staff opener.

Wright State fired Donlon in March after six seasons. He was 109-94. The Raiders finished 22-13 last season.

Beilein has coached nine seasons at Michigan. The Wolverines finished 23-13 and made the NCAA tournament for the fifth time in six years.
