Weber, an assistant captain for the RedHawks, was inadvertently cut by a Northern Michigan player’s skate blade. He suffered no major artery damage, Weisman said. Weber will be re-evaluated on Friday by doctors to determine when he might return to the ice, Weisman said.
Miami University hockey player Will Weber was released from University Hospital in Cincinnati on Sunday after surgery to repair a laceration to his neck sustained during Saturday night’s game against Northern Michigan.
Miami hockey spokesman Michael Weisman said Weber was doing well and was back on campus in Oxford.
