Searles, a senior from Chicago, is the third Dayton cornerback in the last five years to get a chance with a NFL team. Kyle Sebetic attended training camp with the New York Giants in 2014. Cameron Stubbs signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 2017.
Searles was Dayton’s MVP as a senior last fall. He’s the only player in Pioneer Football League history to win five all-conference honors. He was honored as a cornerback in his last three seasons and as a kick returner in 2015 and 2017.
