Dayton senior Lauren Cannatelli on Monday was named Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Cannatelli recorded back-to-back 24-point games last week against Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech in the West Palm Beach Invitational.
The Lakota West High School graduate went 12-of-12 from the free-throw line and had four rebounds in a 69-57 loss to the undefeated Hokies. In a 85-66 win over the Yellow Jackets, she made 14-of-16 from the line, had five rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Dayton (5-6) opens up A-10 play on Jan. 5 at UD Arena vs. visiting La Salle.
