The Los Angeles Sparks selected Dayton Flyers senior center Saicha Grant-Allen with the 11th pick of the third round Thursday. She was the 35th player selected overall.

The 6-foot-5 Grant-Allen averaged 9.9 points and 8.6 rebounds last season. She’s a native of Hamilton, Ont. She earned second team All-Atlantic 10 honors and made the all-conference defensive team.

The Sparks are coached by Brian Agler, a graduate of Wittenberg University. The Sparks won the WNBA championship in 2016.
