Dayton Flyers coach Anthony Grant, junior guard guard Trey Landers and freshman guard Dwayne Cohill met with reporters on Tuesday at UD’s Cronin Center to look back on Dayton’s 2-0 start and the upcoming game against Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday.

Here’s a quick recap, and the video interviews are above and below:

Grant summarizes the first week: "It's two games in. It is what it is in terms of the exposure we've gotten up to this point. It's early in the year. I'm excited we were able to get two wins. The biggest thing for us is to try to learn from the two games we've played up to this point and get better as a basketball team. We know it's early in the season. You want to try to continue to progress and find out more about yourselves. I think we had a chance to do that in the first two games."

Landers on what he would say to Frankie Policelli, a freshman forward Dayton has decided to redshirt: "I just tell him focus on what you can focus on. Try to get better every day. Improve your body. Get as strong as you can. You've got veteran guys who are playing. Just try to pick our brains to try to help you and guide you."

Cohill on his first experiences playing at UD Arena: "It's been fun playing in front of all the fans, playing with my teammates. It's everything I expected. I just come out with a lot of energy. I wasn't expecting to be a big minutes guy, but I got a lot of minutes the last couple of games. I just try to make an impact on the court, whether it's scoring, playing defense or getting my teammates involved and just feeding off the crowd's energy.
