Former Dayton Flyers forward Kendall Pollard will participate in the NBA G League Player Invitational on Aug. 13 in Chicago, the NBA announced Friday.
The G League is the new name for NBA D (Developmental) League. The G stands for Gatorade, the league’s sponsor.
According to the NBA, the event “will challenge NBA G League hopefuls, via full-court games, to showcase their skills for NBA G League player personnel, executives, coaches and industry scouts with the hopes of gaining eligibility for the NBA G League Draft in October.”
Pollard is one of 40 players on the roster for the invitational. Cincinnati’s Troy Caupain and Ohio State’s Marc Loving and Trevor Thompson are among the others.
Pollard finished his college career in March with 1,171 points. He ranks 35th in school history.
