The storms that hit the Dayton area wrought terrible damage — but also great compassion.
The University of Cincinnati football team joined many individuals and groups (including the Bearcats’ rivals from Miami University) to lend helping hands this week as a group led by Marcus Freeman made the trip up I-75 on Friday to help clean up debris in Trotwood.
Freeman starred at Wayne High School before being a three-year starter at linebacker for Ohio State.
Now he is the defensive coordinator for the Bearcats and considered a key recruiter for head coach Luke Fickell.
Dayton area residents are encouraged to volunteer or donate to organizations putting together relief efforts for Dayton and surrounding areas.
