Detroit WR heading to Ohio State, not Florida, with hurricane pending

Donovan Peoples-Jones, a five-star receiver from Detroit Cass Tech, announced on Twitter on Thursday he is canceling a visit to the University of Florida this weekend because of the escalating concerns about the devastation the storm could wreak on the southeast.

The nation’s No. 1 receiver according to 247sports will make the trip south to Ohio State instead to see the second-ranked Buckeyes host Indiana.

Other offers for Peoples-Jones, who hails from the same high school that produced current Ohio State starting running back Mike Weber among numerous other high-level recruits, include Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska and Florida State.
