Ohio State is looking to flip a local player already committed to a Big Ten foe.
Jestin Jacobs, a senior linebacker at Northmont, announced Monday night he has received a scholarship offer from Ohio State.
The four-star prospect verbally committed to Iowa in May.
He has since moved up to the No. 12 prospect in Ohio according to the 247Sports Composite rankings and the No. 18 outside linebacker in the country.
Jacobs has 30 tackles this season for the Thunderbolts, who face Pickerington Central in the second round of the playoffs Friday night.
He also has 349 yards rushing and six touchdowns.
Teammate Gabe Newburg, a three-star defensive end prospect, has been verbally committed to Michigan since last spring.
