Former Centerville, Wright State golfer to make PGA Tour debut

Ryan Wenzler fires 10-under-par 62 in Monday qualifier

Ryan Wenzler picked a good day to go low.

Wenzler, a Centerville High School and Wright State University product, fired a blistering 10-under-par 62 on Monday to earn a spot in this week’s PGA Tour Barbasol Championship in Lexington, Ky.

Wenzler, who will be making his PGA Tour debut, was one of four qualifiers at Boone Trace National Golf Club in Richmond, Ky.

Another Wright State product, Frank Lickliter, is an alternate this week. Lickliter, a Franklin High School grad, is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour.
