Postgame interview: Dayton's Kostas Antetokounmpo after beating Tennessee Tech
Tennessee Tech (7-3) averaged 84.7 points in its first nine games and made 8.2 3-pointers per game while shooting 37.6 percent from long range. The Golden Eagles made 10 of 24 3-pointers (41.7 percent) against Dayton but shot 12 of 28 inside the arc (42.8 percent).
Dayton shot 34.8 percent from 3-point range (8 of 23) and 23 of 31 from 2-point range (74.2 percent). The Flyers outscored the Golden Eagles 40-20 in the paint. Dayton had seven dunks.
“The guys were driving,” Cunningham said, “and they were able to dish it off to me and Kostas and other players. We just wanted to finish at the rim.”
Dayton hosts Penn on Saturday at 3 p.m.
