1. Price said it’s easy to watch Bronson Arroyo and think that he still has what it takes to get hitters out, but the Reds manager added that the scouts can only see so much. Price says the hitters will answer that question this spring when they step in the batter’s box against the soon-to-be 40 year old. Arroyo is throwing his first bullpen session today.
2. Cody Reed is anxious to get another chance at big league hitters. The lefty was 0-7 in 10 starts with the Reds last season and yesterday in his first bullpen session he was all business from the first pitch he threw.
3. Drew Storen says he’s open to any role in the bullpen this season. The Brownsburg, Ind. native was a high school teammate of catcher Tucker Barnhart. After pitching for Toronto and Seattle last season Storen is excited to be back in the National League.
