High School Football: Week 10 Roundup

The final week of the high school football regular season saw the Midwest Athletic Conference end in a three-way tie for the first time since 1989.

Marion Local, Anna and Minster each posted a 7-1 record in conference play to split the title.

Brandon Fleck had a pair of rushing scores and Grant Meier added a third to help Marion Local move to 8-2 overall with a 24-0 win versus Coldwater.

Anna cruised by Delphos St. John’s 56-7 and Minster beat New Bremen 42-2, each finishing at 9-1 overall.

Badin 27, McNicholas 3: Alex Delong paced Badin with 116 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Zach Switzer added a TD throw to Joshua Hegemann and the Badin defense picked off three passes.

Bellefontaine 48, Tecumseh 13: Grant Smith ran for three touchdowns and threw two more for Bellefontaine. Cole Comstock also came up with a pair of interceptions.

Clinton-Massie 63, Wilmington 24: Brendan Lamb finished with 173 yards on the ground and five touchdowns to go with a kickoff return for a score for Clinton-Massie.

Dayton Christian 44, Jefferson Township 0: Andrew Dreier hauled in his seventh interception of the season with a pick-six and Sam Dimario added a fumble recovery score to help Dayton Christian finish the regular season at 8-2.

Fairmont 28, Lebanon 8: Tank Gant racked up 144 yards on the ground with two touchdowns and Male’k Hillon added 118 rushing yards with one score for Fairmont, which finished 4-6 after an 0-5 start to the season. Keith Farr had the lone touchdown for Lebanon in its last Greater Western Ohio Conference game.

Fenwick 42, Carroll 20: Braden Listermann threw three touchdowns and Jordan Rucker had two rushing and two receiving scores to lead Fenwick.

Fort Loramie 82, Tri-County North 8: Fort Loramie earned the Cross County Conference league title for the second consecutive season.

Fort Recovery 41, Versailles 22: Clay Schmitz threw three touchdowns to Gavin Thobe and the pair flipped the script with a TD throw from Thobe to Schmitz to lead Fort Recovery. Ryan Martin and Jared Demange connected on a pair of TD throws for Versailles.

Franklin 35, Oakwood 0: Gage Johnson ran for two of his three rushing touchdowns in the first quarter to spur Franklin. Braden Woods added two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing, and Franklin improved to 9-1 and 6-0 in conference play.

Greenville 19, Sidney 14: John Butsch made a leaping catch in the endzone off a Tyler Beyke pass in the final two minutes to give Greenville the edge. E.J. Davis, who finished as the Miami Valley League’s leading rusher with 1,329 yards, paced Sidney with 137 rushing yards and a TD pass to Lathan Jones.

Jonathan Alder 24, London 23: Unbeaten Jonathan Alder rallied from a 10-0 halftime deficit, taking the lead on a field goal with one second to play.

Miamisburg 21, Beavercreek 6: Braden Barr rushed for two touchdowns and Tamar Thomas added the third to lead Miamisburg. Addison Culpepper scored the lone TD for Beavercreek.

National Trail 56, Bradford 6: Senior Peyton Lane had a record-setting night, posting school records for touchdowns in a game at six along with the single season and career TD marks.

New Miami 49, Lockland 14: New Miami completed an unbeaten run through the regular season, the first in program history.

North Union 48, Ben Logan 6: Trevor Moran and Trevyn Feasel each tallied three rushing touchdowns to lead North Union. Moran finished with 159 yards, Feasel 143 and North Union finished 5-0 in conference play.

Northmont 28, Wayne 27: Keaton Kesling tossed three touchdowns to Marcus Allen to lead the way for Northmont. Kesling recorded 314 yards through the air and Allen finished with seven catches for 121 yards. Devin Nelson ran in a pair of touchdowns for Wayne, which had three interceptions to keep the game close.

Northwestern 27, Graham 12: Gavin Thomas was 9-of-11 with 173 yards and three touchdowns, two to Matthew Hart, to pace Northwestern. Brady King threw a TD to Zack Vanscoy for Graham.

Parkway 33, St. Henry 6: Nick Hawk became Parkway’s all-time leading rusher in the win, passing the previous mark of 2,700 yards set by Scott Long in 1978.

Preble Shawnee 49, Northridge 14: Jake Green connected with Eyan Haemmerle on four touchdown throws to pace Preble Shawnee. Green also set the single season passing touchdown record for Preble Shawnee.

Springboro 37, Centerville 6: Titan Case caught two touchdowns from Landon Palmer and Timmy Keseday tacked on a pair of rushing touchodwns to help Springboro close the regular season at 9-1. Brendan Salo kicked two field goals for Centerville.

Troy 35, Piqua 9: Brayden Siler ran for four touchdowns and Troy picked up an outright Miami Valley League Miami division title with the win over rival Piqua. Siler passed the 1,000 rushing yard mark, giving Troy two 1,000 yard rushers for the first time since 2000.

Waynesville 24, Madison 21: Jake Amburgy scrambled for a 58-yard TD run in the fourth quarter to help Waynesville put the game away, finishing with a 9-1 record and a Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye division title.

West Carrollton 21, Stebbins 14: Kamaury Cleveland put West Carrollton on the board with a rushing TD and Tyron Darby added two more rushing scores for West Carrollton. Nate Keller had a TD run for Stebbins and Gage Fosberg drilled two field goals.
