Manic Monday for Dayton Dragons included walk off, skunk on the field

You know it’s some night at the ballyard when the skunk on the field isn’t the biggest story.

Chris Okey took care of that by delivering an ending that definitely didn't stink for Dayton Dragons fans, lashing a single to centerfield to break a 10-10 tie in the bottom of the ninth.

That capped a wild rally that saw Dayton score eight unanswered runs in the last three innings. The Dragons’ comeback from a 10-3 seventh-inning deficit was their largest since 2013, and it set off a raucous celebration near second base.

Prior to Okey’s hit that chased home 2016 Cincinnati Reds first-round pick Nick Senzel from second base with the winning run, the most notable moment of the game might have come from a skunk that found its way into the outfield.

Talk about a memorable night at Fifth Third Field, where the Dragons have won seven games in a row.
