“This class of inductees represents the true spirit of being a student athlete. Their lives have enriched their communities and all those around them. We are honored to be able to recognize them for their contributions,” Interim Director of Student Athletics Cheryl Miller said.
Hall was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team from 1979-83. She was voted to the Ohio Regional Campus Conference first team for the 1981-82 season and averaged just over 14 points per game. She still holds the school record for career field goals made with 532. Hall also played volleyball and tennis for one year each.
Hunt was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team, playing from 1995-99 and scoring 783 points in her career. Hunt earned the Lynn Darbyshire Warrior Award in 1996 and the C. Eugene Bennett Scholar Athlete of the Year Award for the 1998-99 season. She also played tennis for two years and volleyball for one.
Troutwine was a standout men’s basketball player for two years. He averaged more than 16 points per game for his career and helped lead the men’s team to an ORCC championship in 1989. He was voted to the league’s first team in both years (1989-90) and also received the Lynn Darbyshire Warrior Award (1988) and twice the C. Eugene Bennett Scholar Athlete of the Year Award for the 1988-89 and 1989-90 seasons. Troutwine also played baseball for one year.
Lansaw was one of MUM’s most successful golf coaches, serving as the men’s coach from 2001-04. In those four years, his teams won the ORCC league championship three times (2001, 2003, 2004), and the ORC state tournament twice (2001, 2003). Lansaw passed away on Sept. 11, 2004 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
