Middletown seeking boys basketball coach after Kerr withdraws

Scott Kerr will not be the new head boys basketball coach at Middletown High School.

Kerr was named head coach last week pending school board approval, but has reconsidered taking the position for “personal reasons” and has also decided not to teach in the district, according to a release from the district.

“Our goal is to select a head coach for our boys basketball team as quickly as possible,” incoming Middletown athletic director Aaron Zupka said.
