New Pro Football HOF nominees include former Bengals and Cincy nemeses

The next wave of NFL players who could become members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame includes Bengals great Chad Johnson.

A receiver who played in Cincinnati from 2001-10, Johnson is joined by fellow first-time nominees Donovan McNabb, LaDainian Tomlinson, Jason Taylor, Brian Dawkins, Bob Sanders and two long-time Bengals nemeses Joey Porter and Hines Ward.

In all there are 94 players and coaches on the nominees list for 2017, and that group will be cut to 25 semifinalists in November.

Other notable nominees include Ohio State stars Eddie George and Jim Lachey, former Bengal Terrell Owens and former Brown Eric Metcalf.
