Wright was a unanimous All-American in 2014, when he won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Rotary Lombardi Awarad and the Chuck Bednarik Award.
4:20 p.m.: With three selections a six-pick span at the end of the fifth round, the Cleveland Browns added a guard, a cornerback and their fourth wide receiver of the draft.
Cleveland took Baylor guard Spencer Drango 168th overall, Colorado State receiver Rashard Higgins 172nd and Louisiana-Monroe cornerback Trey Caldwell 173rd.
A first team All-Mountain West selection last year as a junior, the 6-foot-2, 181-pound Higgins is CSU’s career leader in catches (238), receiving yards (3,643) and touchdowns (31). He had at least one catch in all 38 of his collegiate games.
He joins Cleveland’s rookie class of receivers that includes Baylor’s Corey Coleman (first round), Ricardo Louis (fourth) and Jordan Payton (fifth).
Drango (6-6, 320) is a two All-American and two-time Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year, winning the award outright last year and sharing it his junior season.
Caldwell (5-9, 186) had 143 tackles, including 6.5 for loss and ,two interceptions in his four years at Louisiana-Monroe.
2:47 p.m.: The Cleveland Browns selected their third wide receiver of the draft with their first of four fifth-round picks, taking UCLA's Jordan Payton 154th overall.
The 6-foot-1, 212-pound Payton is UCLA’s career leader in career receptions (201) and is third in career receiving yards (2,701). He also tied the school record with 14 catches in a game against Washington State last year.
Payton was a second team All-Pac 12 selection. His UCLA bio says he started his own clothing line at age 17.
Earlier the Browns wide receivers Corey Coleman (Baylor) and in the Ricardo Louis (Auburn) in the fourth.
2:01 p.m.: The Cleveland Browns selected TCU free safety Derrick Kindred with their third pick of the fourth round (129th overall) and Princeton tight end Seth Devalve with their fourth pick of the round (138th overall).
Kindred is a 5-foot-10, 210-pounder whose 87 tackles ranked second on TCU’s defense. He also had two interceptions and three pass breakups and was a three-year letterman.
Devalve is a 6-4, 245-pounder who caught 33 passes for 337 yards his senior despite missing four games due to a pair of injuries.
He was a mechanical and aerospace engineering major at Princeton.
The Browns’ next pick will be the 15th of the fifth round (154).
1:01 p.m.: The Cleveland Browns added their second wide receiver of the draft, taking Auburn's Ricardo Louis in the fourth round with 114th overall pick.
The 6-foot-2, 215 pound Louis a four-year letterman who finished his career ranked 11th in Auburn history in career receptions (98) and 15th in receiving yardage (1,338).
Louis is most famous for this game-winning catch to beat Georgia and keep the Tigers unbeaten on their run to the BCS national championship game, where they lost to Florida State.
Louis joins Baylor’s Corey Coleman, whom the Browns took 15th overall, as rookie receivers in Cleveland.
12:15 p.m.: The Cleveland Browns kicked off the third day of the NFL Draft by selecting Wisconsin linebacker Joe Schobert in the fourth round with the 99th overall pick.
The Browns, were scheduled to pick again at 100, but they traded that pick to Oakland the Raiders’ fourth-round pick (114th overall) and fifth rounder (154th).
The 6-foot-2, 236-pound Schobert was a four-year letterman at Wisconsin, playing in 45 games with 28 starts.
He was a first team All-American as a senior and won the Butkus-Fitzgerald Big Ten Linebacker of the year award. Schobert also was named the Wisconsin team MVP.
