Cincinnati Bengals safety George Iloka and defensive coordinator Paul Guenther took exception to Iloka getting a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty for his hit on Jets wide receiver Jalin Marshall on Sunday, and apparently the NFL agrees the hit should not have been flagged.

The league declined to fine Iloka for the second-quarter hit, when he appeared to use his shoulder to hit Marshall in the shoulder while breaking up a pass, but two other players were fined for their actions in the game.

Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson was docked $9,115 for a facemask penalty against Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the first quarter. And New York wide receiver Eric Decker earned a $9,115 fine for his unnecessary roughness penalty.

Decker slammed Bengals cornerback Josh Shaw to the ground well out of bounds after Shaw’s game-sealing interception with 40 seconds to go.

Jets free safety Marcus Gilchrist was not fined for his 15-yard facemask penalty against A.J. Green on the Bengals’ game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.
