Opening on the road for the seventh consecutive year and playing four prime-time games are among the notable details of the 2016 Cincinnati Bengals schedule, which the NFL released tonight.

The Bengals will start the season on Sept. 11 in New York against the Jets, followed by a trip to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers while linebacker Vontaze Burfict is still serving a three-game suspension.

The home opener will be in Week 3 against the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, followed the first of four prime-time games, a Thursday night contest against the Miami Dolphins at PBS.

Cincinnati also will play a Monday night game at the New York Giants before hitting the national television stage twice in the final three weeks of the season. The Bengals will play host to Pittsburgh on Sunday night, Dec. 18, before traveling to Houston for a Saturday night game against the Texans on Christmas eve.

The schedule also includes the previously announced trip to London to play a “home” game against the Washington Redskins, a contest that will begin at 9:30 a.m. local time. The bye week will follow the trip to London.

Preseason dates and times also have been finalized. The Bengals will face former defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and the Minnesota Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12. They will head to Detroit the following week to take on former teammates Marvin Jones and Wallace Gilberry at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.

As was previously announced, the third preseason game will be on national television at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at Jacksonville. And the finale will be a home contest against Indianapolis at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1.
