Ohio State basketball suspends leading scorer

Ohio State’s push for an NCAA tournament bid took a hit Friday with the suspension of Kaleb Wesson.

The school announced the sophomore center he is out after violating athletics department policy.

The announcement does not say how long he will be sidelined but that he will return this season.

Wesson is Ohio State’s leading scorer (14.6 points per game) and rebounder (6.7).

The 18-10 Buckeyes have three regular season games left, starting Saturday at No. 14 Purdue.
