Ohio State Buckeyes: Kickoff time for Penn State game announced

Ohio State and Penn State will play under the lights at Ohio Stadium on Oct. 30.

The Buckeyes and Nittany Lions, who are ranked No. 5 and 7 respectively in the Associated Press poll this week, will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.

The Buckeyes are set to play at Indiana on Saturday night while Penn State will play host to Illinois.

Ohio State previously announced it will wear all-scarlet uniforms for the game, which should make a major contrast against the Nittany Lions’ traditional all-white road uniform.

Ohio State and Penn State have faced off in primetime 10 times since they began playing annually when the Nittany Lions joined the Big Ten in the early 1990s.

The Buckeyes are 22-14 against Penn State and 7-3 at night, but only three of those prime-time games have been at home.

Ohio State lost 13-10 to Penn State in Columbus in 2008 and trounced the Nittany Lions 63-14 in 2013 and 38-10 two years later.

Ohio State has won four in a row and eight of the last nine against Penn State, including a 38-25 decision last year in Happy Valley.

Both teams were ranked in the top 10 when they played in 2017-19.

Ohio Stadium did not host a night game until 1985, but it has had at least one in 12 of the past 13 seasons.

The Buckeyes are 17-5 all-time at home under the lights, including a 59-7 win over Akron last month.
