On Tuesday, the team announced a rise in positive PCR tests had caused the decision to halt all team-related activities for a week.
Three days later, players who have tested negative multiples times were allowed to return to working out in small groups and to take part in individual workouts at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
Ohio State is scheduled to begin spring practice Friday, something that did not change when the pause was applied earlier this week.
The spring game is set for April 17, though the format has not been determined.
