Ohio State football: California LB verbally commits

Ohio State football added another verbal commitment for 2020 on Wednesday in Kourt Williams II.

He made the announcement in a YouTube video that included clips from his peewee football days and expressions of gratitude for his family, coaches and doubters en route to becoming a 247 Sports Composite four-star linebacker who plays at St. John Bosco Prep in Southern California.

Williams became the 22nd player to commit to the Buckeyes for the going year and the second from the Sunshine State, joining La Habra cornerback Clark Phillips III.

Head coach Ryan Day's first full-year recruiting class counts 22 members and ranks No. 3 in the country, trailing Clemson and Alabama.
