Prep track & field: Lakota East’s Horter will lead locals at state meet

Lakota East High School senior Dustin Horter will lead the area contingent in the state track meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus on Friday and Saturday.

Horter, one of the top prep distance runners in the country, has qualified in the Division I 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs and will be looking to capture his second straight state title in the 1,600. He was fourth in the 3,200 as a sophomore.
